It is set to be a busy week back at school for many Kingaroy State High School Art students with the opening of the 2008 Art Exhibition set to open Friday night the10th October. The Exhibition will feature works by Yrs 9,10, 11 & 12 Art students and includes many different approaches and media. These include digital layering, printmaking, pop art, mixed media, ceramics, wood, and painting and drawing. The works have been completed as part of the school curriculum and represent the diversity possible within it. Year 10 Music students will provide entertainment throughout the evening.
The exhibition will be held at the Kingaroy Art Gallery (opposite the silos), from the 10th to the end of October and will open on Friday evening at 7.00 pm. Admission is free, and some of the students will present artist talks after the official opening at 7.45pm. Savories (courtesy of the Senior Hospitality class), punch, tea and coffee will be served throughout the evening, and wine (supplied by Captain’s Paddock Winery) will be available for purchase.
