The 2025 NAPLAN schedule is between 12 and 24 March.
Our school will complete the online tests from Wednesday the 12th of March to 24th March.
NAPLAN assesses literacy and numeracy skills that students are already learning at school.
In readiness for the NAPLAN tests in March, our school will also be involved in a number of practice sessions.
NAPLAN is just one aspect of a school's assessment and reporting process – it does not replace ongoing assessments made by teachers about student performance; however, students and parents may use individual results to discuss progress with teachers.
Read the NAPLAN Online information brochure for parents and carers. To see the format of the online tests, visit the public demonstration site.
Over the coming weeks all students in Year 7 and 9 will be asked to ensure:
- *NEW* NAPLAN Lockdown Browser-
All Windows devices will be required to be updated to a new LDB prior to NAPLAN 2025. Please note that there are no changes to the NAPLAN 2025 LDB for Mac, iPad or Chromebook users.
The new version of the Windows LDB (v5.9.2) will be available for download via the Assessform website on Thursday 20 February 2025. Upon installation, the colour of the Windows NAP 2025 icon is now purple, to enable schools to easily identify the latest version on student devices.

- their laptop device is fully charged, at school each day and joined to the high school network;
- that the device that will be used for testing meets the minimum requirements (general and technical);
- that the 2025 Locked Down Browser (LDB) is loaded onto their device (advice will be provided by the school in class and via student email);
- that they have working wired earphones or headphones for all tests including practice tests;
- that they are accessing practice test items to ensure they are able to use the online tools associated with the test.
One of the main benefits of NAPLAN Online is that it uses tailored (or adaptive) testing. This means that students receive questions better suited to their abilities, giving them more opportunity to demonstrate what they know and can do.
