Kingaroy State High School has a strong commitment to students from the surrounding areas. As of 14 July, 2014 however, students who enrol at Kingaroy are required to be genuine local residents. To ensure this, we are required to see a number of original documents. In summary, to be eligible to enrol at Kingaroy High, the applicant's parents will need to demonstrate that the child to be enrolled has his/her Principal Place of Residence within the Defined Local Catchment Area.
Please refer to Kingaroy State High School's Enrolment Management Plan (https://education.qld.gov.au/parents-and-carers/enrolment/management-plans/kingaroy-state-high-school) for the conditions under which students may be enrolled at Kingaroy State High School. You may access the Defined Local Catchment Area map (http://www.qgso.qld.gov.au/maps/edmap/) here.
If your student's address does not automatically meet the Catchment area boundary, please contact Kingaroy SHS on 4160 0666. However, for such students, an email (principal@kingaroyshs.eq.edu.au) or letter addressed to the Principal is required containing your address, student's intended Year level and other contact details, as well as the reason for wanting to attend Kingaroy SHS. Once submitted the Principal will contact each family individually. For mid-year enrolments, this contact will be made as soon as possible. For the start of year enrolments, all families will be contacted after the end of November.
