Kingaroy State High School's talented students wowed audiences at Creative Generations 2023, leaving a lasting impression with their remarkable performances. The event, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcased the best of young talent from across the state. Among the almost two thousand participants were fourteen KSHS students - five exceptional dancers, eight gifted singers, and one student who had the honour of joining the moving performance by the First Nations Ensemble.

The Kingaroy State High School contingent delivered a series of outstanding performances that earned them resounding applause and praise from the audience. Their dedication to their craft was evident in every step they took and every note they sang.

This year's theme of 'Out There' was explored throughout the show with a wide range of performances.  From the First Nations Ensemble's beautiful tribute to Indigenous heritage and artistry to Toy Story, the Addams Family and a trip to Rio, the audience was kept enthralled throughout.

Under the guidance and support of their teachers, Mrs Dowideit-Reiger, Mr Dunn, and Ms Radunz, the students showcased their skills and passion, making their mark on the CGEN stage. The event, known for its celebration of young artistic talent, provided the perfect platform for these aspiring performers to shine.

The families of the participating students also played a crucial role in their success, offering unwavering support and encouragement throughout their journey. The collective effort of the students, teachers, and families created an environment of support and collaboration, propelling the students towards their remarkable achievements.

Forty lucky students attended an excursion to watch the Friday matinee, one of four performances of the show. The trip not only allowed them to witness exceptional talent from their fellow students, but also provided valuable insights into the world of performing arts, and plenty of inspiration to get involved in future performances.

Mr Thomson expressed immense pride in the students' achievements, praising their dedication and hard work after also attending the matinee performance. He was thrilled to witness the students thrive and gain valuable experiences on such a prestigious platform. Mr Thomson also commended the teachers, staff, and families for their constant support, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and celebrating young talent in the community.

The success of Kingaroy State High School's students at Creative Generations 2023 serves as an inspiration to the entire school community, encouraging them to continue fostering creativity and excellence in the arts. It is evident that these young performers have a bright future ahead, and their journey has just begun.
