Jenali Bolden competed in the discus and shot put events at the Qld Athletics State Championships over the weekend. She placed third in Under 15 girls shot put, third in Under 17 girls discus and first in Under 15 girls discus. This makes her the State Champion for her own age group, and 3rd in the state two age groups above her.
These achievements are in addition to Jenali's win at the Australian All Schools Championships in Adelaide last December, where she took out first place in discus. Jenali finished 2022 as number one on the Australia Athletics ranking for Under 14 Girls Discus.
Jenali will head to the Australian Athletics Championships in April, where she has qualified to compete in both Under 15 and Under 17 discus and Under 15 shot put.
